- Joe Mauer is engaged! Congrats Joe!
- Michael Cuddyer welcomed twin girls to his family
- however, Cuddyer also signed a contract with the Rockies. You will be missed, Cuddy.
- Ben Revere won a GIBBY for one impressive play against the Baltimore Orioles (which I was lucky enough to witness in person at Target Field)
- Jason Kubel signed a two-year contract with the Diamond-Backs
- Twins acquired Josh Willingham from the Oakland A’s
- Terry Ryan becomes new GM with Bill Smith remaining as assistant to the GM
- Kevin Slowey is traded to the Rockies for Turpen
- Joe Nathan has signed a deal with the Texas Rangers as Capps is then re-signed for 2012
